Trailer wiring fuse locations for 1997 f150 4x4 v6

I have a 1997 4x4 f150 with a v6. I am working on the trailer wiring and I have no power for the left or right turn singles or brake lights. I need to know if anyone can tell me what fuse number or relay controls this circuit and if it is a separate circuit for the left and right. I do not have the owner's manual to identify the correct fuse or relay. I have tried looking at a book for 1998 but the fuse/relay numbers are different. Any information would be appreciated.

There is a fuse and relay box under the hood on the driver's side fender.

Thanks for the post and I understand there is a fuse and relay box under the hood, but it does not indicate which fuse or relay is for the circuits I inquired about. Do you know by any chance?

I have all the trailer tow wiring schematics that came with my '99. If you want to send me a personal message with your email address, I will email it to you.

bump this thread - same problem

I'm having the same problem with a '97 f-150 4x4 5.4L tow package. I can not find any wiring diagrams in haynes or owners manual.

everything worked fine, plugged up a horse trailer yesterday with goofy wiring - brakes engauged with running lights on - no i have no brake or turn signals on any trailers through 6 and 7 pin plugs.

all fuses under dash and power unit under hood seem fine, power at brake controler. anyone have an idea or schematic of tow package wiring - greatly appreciated. thanks

i found the problem, it popped a 20A fuse in the "mini-fuse" box located on drivers side front fender under hood, behind relay box adjacent to power distribution box. geepers, i never had so many fuse boxes to go through - LOL

like the pirate said with a ships wheel attached to his midsection - aarrrrhhh it's driving me nuts.

k- thanks, been lurking for years around here and never had to post because there is so much info on this site - big thanks to site owners and moderators.

Thank to everyone who responded. I found a broken wire, finally! Everything works okay.
